Joel Meyer

Chief Technology Officer

Joel Meyer is the Chief Technology Officer at OpenX, overseeing engineering, product, and the GOAL organization (which includes PMO, IT, and business operations). In this role he is responsible for the team and technology that power OpenX’s platform at massive scale across a global footprint. He is focused on leveraging the company’s considerable cloud expertise to maintain industry leading cost of sales while accelerating time-to-market for our products and thoughtfully deploying ML/AI enhancements that benefit our customers. He is also passionate about maintaining a world-class technology team and making OpenX the kind of place where great engineers and product managers want to work.

Prior to taking leadership of the entire technology organization, Joel led OpenX’s successful cloud migration and established the company as a leader in preparing publishers for Google’s Privacy Sandbox initiative. With over 15 years of tenure at OpenX, he has led everything from UI teams to SRE teams and developed several of the core high-volume, low-latency ad exchange components. He also sits on the board of Prebid.org and the IAB Tech Lab.

Prior to joining OpenX, Joel worked at Google, IBM, and Xanga. Joel holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at UIUC.
