How does it work?

When you buy inventory on OpenX Market, you specify the target audience, the website content, and what you're willing to pay. For example, one advertiser may target people in Texas when they visit a football news site. This advertiser can set a frequency cap, choose the browser type, and even find users that they’ve tagged with cookies previously.

The advertiser then submits CPM bid for these impressions. OpenX Market holds auctions for these impressions, and buyers with the highest bids above the floor price win.

OpenX also supports real-time bidding, where buyers dynamically set their bid prices for impressions based on their value—and can adjust pricing in real-time based on ad performance.

There are no fees to join OpenX Market. While we do require an initial deposit, we will refund this deposit if you decide to close your account, or we can apply it to your media purchases.
