Matt Sattel
Chief Executive Officer
Matt Sattel is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OpenX, the intelligent supply-side platform powering responsible advertising through quality standards, data leadership, and future-ready infrastructure.
Sattel brings deep programmatic knowledge, commercial leadership, and a commitment to operational rigor to this role. Drawing from years of buy-side experience, he has a strong understanding of how advertisers evaluate quality, performance, and efficiency, and has worked closely with our clients and partners to create cleaner, more optimal supply paths. He is passionate about helping publishers and partners navigate structural shifts in the media landscape, including the impact of AI, increasing demands for transparency, the ongoing evolution of data-driven ad buying, and the growing need for responsible media practices.
Prior to becoming CEO, Sattel served as President of OpenX, where he oversaw the company’s global sales and partnerships, marketing, product and technology, and operations teams. Before being named President, he served as CRO and held senior roles within the company’s commercial organization.
Before joining OpenX, Sattel spent nearly four years at MiQ, where he advanced from Director of Sales to SVP, Head of In-Housing. There, he led teams helping Fortune 100 brands bring programmatic buying in-house through a combination of trading expertise and ad tech innovation. Earlier in his career, Sattel held senior roles at Samba TV, Speakr, and xAd, Inc., and became a recognized industry voice on in-housing and the evolution of programmatic buying models.
Sattel holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Florida and a certificate in Data Analytics for Business Professionals from the University of Chicago.
