The Voluntary Carbon Market Disclosures Act (VCMDA), also known as AB 1305, requires all companies operating within the state of California to publicly disclose their carbon offset purchases and verify any Net-Zero claims through third-party audits. As part of OpenX’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, we’ve made our disclosure publicly available here.

This was the first step. We know that digital advertising is responsible for a significant amount of carbon emissions in the atmosphere. Since this certification, we've reduced our carbon emissions by more than 90% from a 2018 base year — and our journey is not over.

Net-Zero Achievement

OpenX signed the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) pledge, which requires reducing our carbon emissions by more than 90% from our 2018 base year. In February 2023 we announced that they reduced emissions by 96% and that our Net-Zero achievement was verified. Learn more about our path here.
