OpenX Appoints Matthew Reid as Vice President of Marketing
Experienced B2B And SaaS Marketing Leader To Head All Marketing Efforts To Expand OpenX’s Brand Globally
LOS ANGELES, March 28, 2013 OpenX Technologies, Inc. (OpenX), one of the world’s leading providers of digital and mobile advertising technology, today announced the appointment of senior industry marketer Matthew Reid to the newly created role of vice president of marketing. With more than 15 years of experience spanning corporate marketing, product management, product marketing and sales, Reid will oversee OpenX’s marketing initiatives worldwide including branding, customer acquisition and product marketing, and will continue to build the existing marketing team with specialists and regional operatives as the Company continues to grow globally. Reid will report to chief revenue officer Jason Fairchild and will be part of the Company’s senior management team. The appointment is effective immediately.

Reid will be instrumental in defining, communicating and taking new innovations such as Programmatic Premium and mobile to market.
During the past twelve months, OpenX has achieved a number of key milestones as it continues to unleash the full economic potential of digital media companies across any connected screen. In 2012, OpenX delivered $153M in revenue, acquired two companies – LiftDNA and JumpTime – and grew rapidly, achieving greater than 100% year-over-year revenue growth in 2011 and 2012. To drive this growth, OpenX doubled its team to more than 260 employees last year, and expanded to five datacenters on three continents and opened new offices in New York, London, and Tokyo as well as opening a new headquarters in Los Angeles. Prior to joining OpenX, Reid served as senior vice president, marketing, for Gehry Technologies, a SaaS provider of online file sharing and collaboration technology, where he was responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy, including opportunity identification, market penetration and positioning, and media management. Previously, Reid held vice president roles in sales and marketing for Eucalyptus Systems where he managed end-to-end complex sales cycles and worked with the founders to define and execute the business model for the company’s Amazon AWS-compatible open source and commercial private cloud offerings. Earlier in his career, he led product marketing for Expertcity (acquired by Citrix), where he helped the SaaS division, renamed Citrix Online, obtain multi-industry leadership. He directed the market launch of the world’s fastest growing web conferencing solution, GoToMeeting, and was responsible for the go-to-market strategies of GoToMyPC, GoToAssist, and GoToWebinar.
