OpenX Appoints Andrew Buckman as New Managing Director for EMEA
Ad Tech Industry Expert Appointed to Accelerate Growth of Advertising and Digital Monetization Platform
LONDON and LOS ANGELES – 21 January 2015 – OpenX, a global leader in digital and mobile advertising technology, today announced the appointment of Andrew Buckman as Managing Director, EMEA. Buckman brings more than 18 years of experience in the ad tech industry and will lead the company’s EMEA operations, with a focus on strategic partnerships, marketing, sales and general operations. Based at OpenX’s London office, Buckman will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of the OpenX advertising platform throughout the region.
More than 1,000 publishers and advertisers around the world use OpenX’s programmatic exchange technology to trade digital advertising inventory and more than 150 new companies in EMEA partnered with OpenX in 2014. OpenX’s technology allows publishers and advertisers to unify and manage direct, indirect and Real-Time Bidding (RTB) advertising within a single platform. Specifically, the OpenX platform integrates ad serving with an ad exchange that incorporates supply side platform technology and facilitates trillions of transactions annually.
Prior to joining OpenX, Buckman was Chief Operating Officer for performance marketing company Tradedoubler. Under his leadership, Tradedoubler transformed in terms of profitability, scale and reputation. Buckman’s wide-ranging career has also included roles at Yahoo! as both Monetization Director and European Product Director. At Yahoo!, he delivered several major European projects, including the cross-country deployment of a new advertiser platform and infrastructure.
