A national retailer sought to drive more efficient store visits at scale through programmatic advertising. However, post-bid optimization and reliance on proxy metrics limited alignment with real-world outcomes. The retailer needed a more effective way to identify and activate inventory most likely to drive measurable store visits while reducing wasted media spend on lower-value impressions.

Solution

inPowered AI developed a custom AI model trained on PlaceIQ™ Location Data by Precisely alongside exchange-wide bidstream signals. The model was deployed within inPowered AI’s container on OpenX Build™, enabling real-time, impression-level evaluation across the full breadth of OpenX supply before bid requests reached the DSP.

Activation was executed through an AI-powered PMP deal, ensuring that only impressions with the highest predicted likelihood of driving store visits were made available for bidding. By filtering out lower-propensity impressions before media spend occurred, the approach improved efficiency across the supply path and delivered an 80% reduction in cost per store visit (CPV).
