The rise of programmatic advertising in recent years has been nothing less than phenomenal. The speed of adoption has seen a whole new industry born; while simultaneously creating a vast knowledge gap too.
We recently surveyed over 180 media agencies, publishers and ad tech providers to uncover exactly where those knowledge gaps are. The survey revealed that programmatic education is required at all levels of the industry; from the trading room to the boardroom. Key elements of programmatic that respondents are keen to understand in more detail include how it works, what the jargon really means, how the technology stack fits together, and how to implement data management. As a result we’re launching the OpenX School of Programmatic, a series of free workshops, webinars and online resources to help the advertising industry grow in to the digital age. The School starts in January 2016 and continues throughout the year, with the face-to-face sessions taking place in central London. Speakers will include senior executives from high profile publishers including eBay, Gumtree, Future Publishing and Zoopla.
