Bonjour! Cannes Not Wait To See You There!
We are boarding our “Lady in Blue” once again at Cannes and we hope you’re excited. Between navigating the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès and finding a cool place to recharge (both our phones and ourselves), we look forward to connecting with friends and partners old and new amongst the global community of advertisers and marketers.
There are countless topics to be discussed at Cannes but our focus this year is on quality. Brand safety, transparency and viewability are top of mind for marketers and, as a leader in marketplace quality, we are eager to find ways to improve advertising standards. If you haven’t already, find a time to meet with us to learn why #QualityMatters.
For those of you who are attending for the first time, we’ll leave you with a few tips from our VP, Head of Business Development, EMEA Richard Kidd who has attended his fair share of yacht meetings:
- Too much rosé too early can ruin your week.
The business turns up to “meet and greet”, to network, to cement those relationships and even forge new ones. The key is not to over do it – parties, late nights and the sunshine can and do take their toll, so consider what your goals are for the week.
- Early mornings are usually a no go.
Plan to meet with business partners for lunch, on their boat or into the late afternoon. Take the morning to catch up on some emails and have an espresso to give you the energy you need for the day ahead.
- Cannes is the digital “fashion” event of the year.
A relaxed atmosphere is everywhere, so dress to impress in a smart/casual, South of France way – avoid the Hawaiian shirts and colourful board shorts too, this is not Benidorm! And don’t forget the sunscreen. Do this and the week will be successful, fun and one to remember.
