The research surveyed 2000 U.S. adults who plan to shop during this holiday season. A few of the findings include:

This 15 minute online survey was conducted on behalf of OpenX in August 2019 by The Harris Poll with a sample size of 2,000 people.
Shopping is Now Digital-First
For the first time in The Harris Poll/OpenX polling, a majority of shopping is now expected to happen digitally, as opposed to in-store during this holiday season. One in every five dollars spent this holiday season will happen on a mobile device.

Key Demographics Like Millennials Are Driving Spend
For many marketers, millennials will determine the success or failure of their holiday campaigns. Compared to other demographics, millennials are 50% more likely to spend more in 2019 than they did in 2018, and overall, millennials will spend 25% more than baby boomers.
