In collaboration with The Harris Poll, OpenX conducted a nationwide study looking at consumer shopping ahead of 2019’s Christmas season

The research surveyed 1000 UK adults who plan to shop during this Christmas season. A few of the findings include:

Shopping is Now Digital-First

A majority of Christmas shopping is expected to happen digitally this year, as opposed to in store. Furthermore, one in every five pounds spent this season will happen on a mobile device showcasing that shopping is now digital-first.

The Season of Streaming

Almost one-third of Christmas shoppers either do not have cable/satellite TV or are considering getting rid of it in the next year. These shoppers are moving to streaming television, with 63% of consumers now subscribing to a streaming service. It truly is the season of streaming!
