OpenX Experiences Major Ad Server Growth

OpenX Hosted Experiences 400% Growth; Global Popularity of OpenX Download Continues; Revenue Begins to Ramp

PASADENA, Calif., April 1, 2009 OpenX Technologies, Inc. (OpenX), the world’s leading independent ad server for web publishers, today announced that the company has experienced major growth in both the OpenX Hosted (Hosted) and OpenX Download (Download) versions of its ad serving products. Hosted has attracted more than 8,000 publishers to sign-up since its October 2008 launch and has already achieved a monthly run rate of more than 5 billion impressions flowing through the service. In addition, OpenX’s original Download product has continued to enjoy its enormous, global popularity and the newest version, launched in July 2008, now has more than 15,000 publishers actively using the software. The company also announced that it has gained strong initial revenue traction in the four business lines it first announced in December 2008.

OpenX Hosted – Widespread Adoption

The widespread adoption of OpenX Hosted has been significant since the initial report of its growth in December 2008. In three months, the product’s monthly run rate of impressions has grown more than 400% to more than 5 billion impressions. The number of sign-ups now exceeds 8,000, an increase of more than 300%.

Hosted, which runs on the same popular software found in the company’s original downloadable product, allows publishers to use the platform to operate all aspects of ad serving while OpenX provides all the hardware and back-end infrastructure, leaving publishers free to focus on maximizing their advertising revenues. The product’s extremely rich feature set enables publishers to manage their advertising campaigns across multiple direct advertisers and ad networks, prioritize and optimize their campaigns, and use sophisticated targeting tools.

Revenue Begins to Ramp
