Job Description

The OpenX Platform Demand team manages all buy side relationships across the OpenX Ad Exchange. The Business Development role will be responsible for driving new partner integrations for the OpenX Ad Exchange, and for overseeing strategic product initiatives with top partners including new forays into video, forward buying models, cross device targeting, and other innovative programs. In addition, this individual will work closely with the Account Management & Support teams to ensure that OpenX is delivering exceptional service and support to our customers. OpenX is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who can drive revenue while gathering the intelligence needed to shape company strategy.

Desired Skills & Experience


  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the OpenX monetization suite of products and how demand partners can most effectively engage with those various products
  • Effectively represent the company through owning and managing key relationships with strategic clients
  • Serve as internal advocate for clients by identifying common needs/opportunities across portfolio of clients to develop product roadmap for demand partners
  • Identify and onboard new demand side platform and network partnerships
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to grow revenue and strategic alignment
  • Develop and execute plans to drive deep levels of engagement with clients, including fostering relationships across various functional groups at clients with counterparts at company
  • Coordinate and manage post sale on-boarding process
  • Represent the company at trade-shows and other industry events

 Key Metrics:

  • Meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Demonstrating growth in client value over time
  • Gather and quantify market trends, data, and intel
  • Cross-selling and development of OpenX products


  • Deep relationships in the ad tech ecosystem and/or previous experience interfacing with ad tech companies through a role at a DSP, SSP, ad network, data company, or ad exchange
  • Proven history of managing strategic relationships
  • A clear understanding of digital advertising as it relates to display, mobile and video advertising
  • At least 5 years of online advertising experience is required – ideally in digital media with a focus on media sales/planning/buying, and/or ad ops.
  • Practical experience supporting and servicing clients using advertising products and technology
  • Experience building very strong personal relationships, overcoming tough issues in positive ways and building lasting inter-company partnerships
  • Excellent teamwork and communications skills – both inside and outside the company
  • Highly organized, used to managing multiple projects to tight deadlines and with great attention to detail
