Go to Configuration > Maintenance to manage your maintenance operation settings. To select a setting, click on one of the following options from the dropdown menu:
If you change the storage location, make sure that the: Configuration->Banner Storage Settings->Webserver Local Banner Storage Settings->Local Directory points to the correct file-system path to store the images.
- Maintenance: this option checks if automatic maintenance is running correctly.
- Banners: OpenX uses a database banner cache to speed up the delivery of banners. This cache must be updated when you upgrade OpenX, or when you move it from one server to another. If you click Check banner cache, OpenX checks your banner cache and notifies you of any errors.
- Priority: OpenX calculates campaign priorities automatically. If you want to perform a manual calculation for troubleshooting purposes, click Recalculate Priority.
- Storage: The media files used by local (SQL) banners are stored inside the database. You can move these files into a directory to reduce the load on the database and increase speed. Before using this tool, ensure that you have configured your local directory path correctly in Configuration > Banner Storage Settings > Webserver Local Banner Storage Settings > Local Directory.
- Delivery Limitations: under some unusual circumstances the delivery engine can disagree with the stored ACLs ('access control list' rules) for banners and channels. Click Check ACLs to validate the ACLs in the database.
- Append Codes: under some circumstances the delivery engine can disagree with the stored append codes for trackers. Click Check Append Codes to validate the append codes in the database.
- Encoding: OpenX now stores all data in the database in UTF-8 format. Where possible, your data will have been automatically converted to this encoding. If after upgrading you find corrupt characters and you know the encoding uses, you can use this tool to convert your data to UTF-8 from its current format:
- Menus: this setting offers the opportunity to Rebuild Menu Cache. The OpenX system is driven by a series of XML files. In order to improve performance, these XML files are compiled into a 'menu cache'. Rebuilding the menu cache allpws the user to rebuild this cache to ensure that the correct menu tabs are shown in the UI.
- Plugins: this tool allows you to diagnose and repair problems with OpenX plugins. You can:
- Rebuild Component Hooks Cache
- Rebuild Preferences List
- Rebuild Delivery Hooks CachePlugin Report
- Plugin Report
- Export All Plugins
