Tim Cadogan - Chief Executive Officer
Tim is the Chief Executive Officer of OpenX.
From 2003-2008 Tim was at Yahoo!, most recently as Senior Vice President of Global Advertising Marketplaces overseeing the primary advertising product lines at the company, including Display, Search and Video. Previously at Yahoo!, Tim was Vice President of Search where he was responsible for both the consumer search and paid search businesses. Prior to Yahoo!, Tim was Vice President of Search at Overture (formerly GoTo.com). Prior to Overture, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company. Tim earned his B.S. from The London School of Economics, his M.Phil from Oxford University and his MBA from Stanford University.
Jason Fairchild - Chief Revenue Officer
Jason is the Head of Business and Partnerships of OpenX, where he is responsible for strategic partnerships, publisher network development, supply and demand relationships for OpenX Market, and all forms of monetization/revenue.
Prior to OpenX, Jason was a Senior Vice President at Claria, a behavioral marketing pioneer. Prior to Claria, he was a Vice President at GoTo.com/Overture/Yahoo! (Overture) for six years, where he built and led the business development/affiliate team responsible for developing, executing and managing all of that company’s paid search partnerships and global strategic relationships, helping the company evolve from a destination site to the largest distributed search network on the Internet, generating $1.5B+ in annual revenues. Before Overture, Jason co-founded an affinity-based ecommerce company, CU Shopper, that developed and distributed co-branded shopping portals to more than 100 credit unions nationwide, and was an early team member at EarthLink Network.
Michael Todd - Chief Technology Officer
Prior to OpenX, Michael was responsible for all engineering aspects of the Google central Ads/Payments billing systems. He also led a team of system engineers responsible integration of all new Google acquisitions. Before OpenX and Google, Michael was a successful entrepreneur founding Red Swoosh, a peer to peer content deliver company sold to Akamai Technologies, and Scour, a multimedia search engine sold to Centerspan Communications. He has had a deep background in search and scalable internet technologies, beginning his career at Digital Equipment Corporation in the Altavista research group. Michael holds a degree in computer science and engineering from UCLA.
Rick Gombos - Chief Financial Officer
Rick is the Chief Financial Officer of OpenX, overseeing the Finance, HR and Facilities functions.
Prior to OpenX, Rick held various finance and business positions at Veoh, GoTo.com/Overture/Yahoo!, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). At Yahoo!, he worked in and led various teams in finance operations, business and technology working on paid search, display and YPN. Prior to Yahoo!, Rick held management positions in the Technology and Corporate Development/Strategic Planning teams at GoTo.com/Overture, the pioneer of paid search. Prior to Overture, he was a consultant at PwC in the Financial Advisory Services (FAS) group. Prior to PwC, Rick served in the United States Navy as a nuclear mechanical engineer onboard a fast attack submarine. Rick earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from UCLA.
Al Duncan - Head of Communications
Prior to OpenX, Al was at GoTo.com/Overture/Yahoo! (Overture) for six years. At Overture, he headed up media relations for the pioneer of paid search during the period of triple-digit growth and the company’s rapid march to profitability, global market leadership and its ultimate acquisition by Yahoo! Before Overture, Al worked in the entertainment business for more than a decade. He worked in feature film production at Warner Bros. and Fox and as a motion picture literary agent at Creative Artists Agency, where he was a member of the Motion Picture Literary Department. Al earned a B.A. in European History from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he served as Associate Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
Joe Ayyoub - Head of Worldwide Services
Joe is the Head of Worldwide Services of OpenX, overseeing the overall experience of OpenX customers and aligning the Company’s resources with customer needs.
Prior to OpenX, Joe has provided leadership at various startups, most recently at Siperian (now a part of Informatica), where he built that company’s services and support infrastructure, allowing it to scale for growth and its ultimate acquisition. Prior to Siperian, Joe was at Yodlee, Ensim and DoubleClick, the company that developed the Internet’s first commercial ad server. At DoubleClick, he was instrumental in building DARTmail into a profitable business. Joe earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan), and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Mike Lum - Head of Engineering
Michael is head of Engineering at OpenX.
Prior to OpenX, Michael held various engineering leadership roles at Yahoo! and Overture, focusing on web search, sponsored search, and display advertising technology. Prior to Overture, Michael was a consultant with IBM Global Services and was in founding and leadership roles for a variety of telecommunications and internet startups. Michael earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
Matt Plummer - Head of Product Management
Matt is the Head of Product Management at OpenX.
Prior to OpenX, Matt spent over 6 years with Yahoo! as a result of the Overture acquisition. He served in various leadership roles in both Engineering and Product Management, always focused on advertising technology and partner integrations. Prior to Overture, Matt was one of the first engineers at mp3.com, an internet music pioneer, which was acquired by Vivendi Universal. Matt attended the University of California, San Diego where he studied computer science.
Levent Atasoy - Head of Quality Assurance
Levent is the head of QA at OpenX. He has over fifteen years of experience encompassing all facets of SDLC, devoted to building and managing QA and release teams, tools, and processes to develop superior quality software. Before coming to OpenX, he architected the automated testing initiatives at ReachLocal as the Director of Q/A. Prior to ReachLocal, Levent held positions as QA and Automation Engineering Manager at Sun, Development Support Manager at eConnections, and QA and Release Operations Manager at Nextag.
Levent has B.S. degrees in Math and Mechanical Enginering, M.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Paul Martecchini - Head of Marketing
Paul is the Head of Marketing for OpenX, leading global marketing, brand positioning, and lead generation. Prior to OpenX, Paul held various marketing and sales positions at Yahoo!, Pepsico, and several startups including DivX, Meraki, and AdNectar. Paul was Sr. Dir. Advertising Solutions at Yahoo! for 8 years and later served as VP Advertising at Meraki, a Google/Sequoia backed wireless networking company, and VP Marketing at AdNectar, a branded virtual goods marketing platform. He has also led marketing and product development efforts at DivX and Greystripe.
Paul holds an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University as well as a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell.
Qasim Saifee - GM Media Services
Qasim Saifee is the General Manager, Media Services at OpenX focused on developing the OpenX Market. From 2005-2008 Qasim was at Yahoo!, most recently as Senior Director of the Advertiser Marketplaces Group, providing strategic guidance and analytical support to drive operational decisions for the Advertiser Marketplaces. Previously at Yahoo!, Qasim was Director of Display Marketplaces. Prior to Yahoo!, Qasim was a consultant at Bain & Company, Inc. Prior to Bain, he was a senior analyst in the Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development group at The Walt Disney Company where he researched, planned and executed new business initiatives and major transactions.
Qasim earned his B.S. from Stanford University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Raj Chauhan - GM Publisher Business
Raj is the GM of the Publisher Business at OpenX overseeing the Enterprise and OpenX Market Supply teams.
Prior to joining OpenX, Chauhan was at the Rubicon Project where he served in a number of roles during his three-year tenure. Most recently he was vice president, North American supply, prior to which he was vice president, global demand. Among his accomplishments at the company, Chauhan was instrumental in increasing top line revenue 300% year over year. He also played a key role in global market launches in both Europe and APAC. Chauhan’s experience in online advertising began when he co-founded Banner Brokers and later launched ClickAgents, two of the first ad networks. He later shifted to the publisher business and worked in sales management roles at Move, Inc. and Yahoo!, where he managed advertising sales and strategy for major consumer electronics brands. Raj attended the University of Georgia where he majored in Psychology.
Eric Rosenthal - GM Enterprise
Eric Rosenthal is the General Manager of Enterprise at OpenX.
Prior to joining OpenX, Eric was at AOL where he served as Vice President of National Sales and a member of the executive team that led Publisher Partner Development for AOL’s Rich Media Ad Serving platform (Pictela) for both publishers and agencies. Rosenthal also was as a Senior Sales Director at DoubleClick (now Google DoubleClick) where he helped generate an annual run rate of more than $50M.
Rosenthal has also served as Vice President of Sales at Kyte (now Kit Digital), a leading online, social media and mobile video platform for live and on-demand content and has held roles with Verizon Business, Solbright (now Operative) and Panther CDN (now CDNetworks). Eric is a graduate of Ithaca College and holds an MBA in Marketing from The George Washington University School of Business.
Mike Downey - Vice President Enterprise Sales
Mike is the Vice President of Enterprise Sales at OpenX Prior to OpenX, Mike was at Yahoo for five years as a result of the Overture acquisition. There, he served in several leadership roles in both sales and business development. He built an international sales team focused on helping advertisers extend into Yahoo's global markets. He also spent two years focusing on syndication of the Yahoo paid and algorithmic search feeds. Prior to Yahoo Mike was at America Online for 5 years through the Time Warner acquisition, where he built a local sales team in the Western US that sold online geo-targeted display campaigns.
Mike is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and also holds an MBA from the Pepperdine, Graziado School of Business.
